Project Overview
Every year, Kärcher distributes 1 million cleaning machines, from their famous yellow pressure washers to window vacs to municipal street sweepers. They had a clear vision of working to increase their environmental performance. Across their 270 strong team based at their Banbury HQ, the focus on energy management and reducing the volume of energy consumed is at the centre of their business operations. Every day c.1,240kWh is consumed on site.
How we helped
Under our fully funded Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model, Zestec supported Kärcher in beginning their energy transition to lower their carbon impact and reduce their energy bills, through generating their own onsite renewable electricity. After a detailed survey and due diligence, Zestec’s partner, Solar Perfect, designed and installed a 300 kWp solar PV system. Since completion c.75% of the solar energy generated onsite has been consumed by Kärcher, representing c.201,000 kWh per annum.
