Princess Yachts Limited is a British luxury motor yacht manufacturer based in the city of Plymouth. As a marine brand, sustainability is at the core of their values. Because of this, they’re offering more responsible ways of yachting; from hybrid technology to energy saving technologies and measures. They instructed Zestec to deploy just under 2.5 MW of rooftop solar across their Newport and Coy Pool sites allowing them to take a step further in transitioning to a green future.
Zestec began work with Princess Yachts in 2022 to help kick start their transition to using clean energy generated on site. This 370 kWp rooftop system at their Newport site generates 364,000 kWh of electricity and reduces 82 tonnes of CO2e each year. Utilising our market leading PPA agreement, Zestec were able to provide the customer with a fully funded solar pv solution. With the chosen install partner, Callidus, the project was delivered to high spec requirements, ensuring safety and protection for the yachts on site. Their first site in Newport is now complete and running under our PPA model and we are due to soon complete their second solar project in Coy Pool.
