The opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Operations Analyst to join our growing team at Zestec Renewable Energy, a leading Solar PPA provider. This role is critical in managing tender submissions, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving data-driven decision-making through robust reporting and CRM management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bid management, data analysis, and CRM systems, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key responsibilities:
Tenders:
- Coordinate all tenders, acting as the primary point of control for procurement portals. Review tender documents and create detailed overviews to advise on bid/no-bid decisions.
- Manage internal and external teams to ensure timely and accurate tender submissions.
- Draft tender submissions and calculations for high-profile clients within the solar PPA sector.
- Maintain and update the company’s tender library for easy access and reference.
- Use procurement portals to identify new tender opportunities within the relevant industries & according to specific criteria.
- Develop innovative calculation models and multisite calculations to strengthen the company’s positioning in tender submissions.
Reporting:
- Collaborate with the Sales and Business Development (BD) teams to create a new Sales download pack from the CRM.
- Develop and implement continuous improvements in CET reporting, providing valuable insights for the company’s outreach strategy.
- Create and refine monthly BD & CET communication reports based on feedback from superiors.
- Compile and present the monthly BD management report pack for review.
- Collect and analyse weekly forecast data for BD pipeline activities, ensuring accurate reporting and strategic planning.
- Design a pipeline report document that compares monthly performance metrics and highlights trends not available in standard CRM reports.
- CRM Management:
- Work closely with the CRM team to understand system functionalities and manage content effectively.
- Improve and update CRM reports to support the BD team’s objectives.
- Conduct weekly pipeline reviews to enhance data accuracy and ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Manipulate CRM views to provide actionable insights on EPC prices, lead sources, and partner performance over the past 6-12 months.
Data enquiries:
- Partner with the marketing team to provide data support for various projects.
- Create a CRM-based marketing process to track leads and generate download reports.
- Analyse data from external sources like OEGen and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize sales and project processes.
- Offer data analysis and reporting services to the BD team, including refining marketing lists and evaluating campaign performance.
- BD Assistance:
- Support BD team members by covering calculations and proposals during their absence or when urgent tasks arise.
- Set up and execute multisite calculations for BD projects.
- Prepare Heads of Terms (HoTs) and other financial documents as needed.
Other responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams on complex calculations and phased project developments.
- Participate in special projects, such as creating PPA rate calculations linked to market rates and visualizing data outcomes.
- Build strong relationships across the company, ensuring dependability and readiness to support various team needs.
