Assistant Management Accountant

Hours: 8:45am – 5:15pm
Start Date: ASAP
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, providing commentary for variances against budgets
- Balance sheet and P/L reconciliation
- VAT Returns and regulatory compliance
- Assisting with year-end accounts and external audits
- Preparation of financial budgets, liaising with Asset Management team and proposing to key stakeholders
- Sales and Purchase Ledger, Credit Control, Day to Day Bookkeeping
- Reconciling Bank Accounts, preparing payment runs
- Review aged creditors and other balance sheet ledgers periodically
- Support wider team and maintain/monitor/introduce continuous process improvements
- Implement accounting guidelines and ensure compliance with statutory regulations
- Ensure robust financial systems and processes are in place and adhered to
- Manage cash flow at entity and group level by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports, calculating reinvestment across wider business
- Calculate quarterly investor returns including cash distributions and reporting against relevant metrics
- Contribute to company financial strategy and decision-making process.

- Experience of working with Xero accounting software and Microsoft suite

About the role
This is an exciting, newly created, varied role and we are looking for a Management Accountant Assistant to help and manage our day-to-day financial needs, sales, purchase ledger, credit control, bank reconciliation. Supporting with management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash flow. Monthly and quarterly Vat returns, Accruals and Prepayments. Reporting to our investors and key stakeholders. Assisting with year-end audits. Supporting wider finance and Asset Management team.
