At Zestec, our passion extends beyond powering sustainable energy solutions, it’s also about uplifting communities and supporting causes that matter.

Recently, our incredible team embarked on the legendary Three Peaks Challenge, scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon within 24 hours to raise funds for Julia’s House, the Dorset & Wiltshire children’s hospice that offers vital respite care to families facing unimaginable hardships

Why Julia’s House?

Julia’s House provides compassionate, life-affirming support for families with seriously ill children. Whether it’s sibling support, specialist nursing visits, or much-needed breaks for carers, their services are indispensable and rely overwhelmingly on donations, with less than 8 % of funding coming from the government.

The challenge

Over the course of a single, gruelling day, our team conquered the UK’s three highest peaks, covering over 3,400 m of ascent, nearly 23 miles of hiking, and hours of driving between each mountain. It was physically demanding, but nothing compared to the emotional and physical challenges faced by the families Julia’s House supports.

We set out to raise £5,000, and with the generosity of donors and the spirit of Zestec behind us, we made it. The campaign not only met its financial target but also stands as a testament to our team’s solidarity and commitment.

What your support has meant

Every contribution brings us one step closer to supporting life‑changing services:

  1. £100 funds one-on-one time with a sibling worker, giving a brother or sister their own safe space to play and unburden
  2. £500 covers a specialist nurse’s home visit, providing essential medical care—and peace of mind—to families in their homes.
  3. £1,000 pays for a full week of respite care, offering parents precious time to recharge and reconnect.

Beyond raising funds, the challenge embodied many of the things we at Zestec: resilience, empathy, and collective determination. Our team’s achievement shines a light on the power of community, not just within our company, but extending to the families who benefit most from Julia’s House’s outstanding care.
